Area of intervention: environmental protection

In 2025, Alperia entered into a new important partnership with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano for the protection and reforestation of South Tyrol's wooded areas. The agreement, signed on May 12 by Alperia's General Manager Luis Amort and the Director of the Provincial Forestry Service Günther Unterthiner, represents a concrete step towards safeguarding the natural heritage and enhancing local biodiversity.

The initiative supports the Forestry Fund, an instrument set up by the Province to restore forests damaged by extreme weather events and infestations, with a contribution of €25,000 per year for the three-year period 2025–2027. Through this partnership, Alperia and the Province aim to implement high-quality environmental projects selected and managed by the Forestry Service.

The agreement also provides for the possibility of involving Alperia employees in practical field activities, such as reforestation and environmental awareness initiatives, fostering a direct link between the company and the territory in which it operates.

The Forestry Fund, established in 2024 and integrated into provincial forestry law, is a key tool for supporting public utility projects related to reforestation, biodiversity, and soil stabilization.

Objectives

  • Restore wooded areas damaged by natural events and infestations, maintaining their protective function and preserving the landscape.
  • Promote biodiversity through targeted reforestation measures.
  • Actively involve the Alperia corporate community to raise environmental awareness.
  • Ensure the safety of the territory through soil stabilization and natural protection.
