Sustainability Report

We have integrated sustainability into corporate strategy, purchasing procedures and policies, human resources policy and enterprise risk management.

To ensure information security and data protection, we have adopted an IT risk monitoring system and developed a Group-wide Security Plan, creating a security culture with targeted training courses.

Innovation is crucial for the success of our activities and to make a concrete contribution to sustainable regional development and energy transition. That is why we have created a central, multidisciplinary innovation management and developed tools to give space to new ideas such as the Innovation Board or the Alperia Start-up Factory

We have taken measures to achieve gender equality and develop women's empowerment. Since 2020 we have had a Diversity Manager for the development of policies and projects that foster an inclusive and welcoming working environment. Annually we obtain the Audit Family and Work certification awarded by the Family Agency of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.

We build our relationship with our customers on values of trust and transparency, offering them customised, competitive and sustainable products.

We strive to constantly increase the share of green products and services, encouraging people towards sustainable and environmentally friendly consumption choices.

We achieved Carbon Neutrality in 2020 by offsetting our operational emissions now we want to achieve NET ZERO by reducing and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions and promoting low-emission energy production, as certified by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global initiative validating corporate decarbonisation strategies.

We promote efficient use of water resources and limit the impact of our hydropower plants on nature.

We have implemented measures to improve watercourses, strengthen fish stocks, build fish ladders, and work to preserve and improve the environment and landscape.

We work to ensure a more modern, efficient and safe energy supply. We carry out constant monitoring and maintenance to ensure safe installations, avoid breakdowns and disruptions and eliminate inefficiencies, wasted resources and energy.
